Our Family Farm

Our FAMILY FARM

Motz Meat originated in 2017, but we are a 4th generation farm that has been selling beef or pork within our family since the 1940’s. This generational process started by our great-grandfather, Tony Motz, who sold pork at the Lansing Market in the 1940’s. His stamp is pictured below next to our current stamp. Throughout the years, not only have we provided a quality beef product to our customers since 2017, but we introduced pork to Motz Meat in 2022. We went back to our original roots. We have made many facility improvements in the past few years that include increased ventilation and new facilities to enhance our ability to provide a steady beef supply to you, our customer. In addition to selling beef and pork, our family grows cash crops, which include corn, soybeans, and wheat. We take pride in producing quality over quantity in all aspects of our farming operations.

Facility Improvement

The process to expand Motz Meat began in 2021. This expansion was put on hold due to a fire, which burned our original barn to the ground. After proper cleanup, the time had come to attempt a second build in early 2022. Yet, Mother Nature was not on our side, and She decided to blow our second build to the ground. After many, many more days of cleanup, and more months of waiting, our final barn was up and standing in June of 2022. With this new and improved structure, we are able to offer easier handling to our cattle when moving them around and offer better ventilation with increased airflow, and provide more product to our customers.
